Nineteen Eighty-Four (sometimes 1984) is a British science fiction film, based upon George Orwell’s novel of the same name, following the life of Winston Smith in Oceania, a country run by a totalitarian government. The film was written and directed by Michael Radford and stars John Hurt and Richard Burton in his final film role.

Quite simply, if you haven’t seen this film you must and if you have you’ll know it’s worth seeing again!

Forks over Knives is a 2011 American documentary film directed by Lee Fulkerson, an American independent filmmaker. The film examines the “profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods,”[1] principally by tracing the careers and research of American physician Caldwell Esselstyn and professor of nutritional biochemistry T. Colin Campbell.

Veronica Decides to Die (Portuguese: Veronica Decide Morrer) is a novel by Paulo Coelho. It tells the story of 24-year-old Slovenian Veronika, who appears to have everything in life going for her, but who decides to kill herself.Partly autobiographical it is based around the subject of madness. The gist of the message is that “collective madness is called sanity”.

Wendy Carroll (Michelle Williams) is a young woman who sets her sights on Alaska in hopes of starting a new life with her dog Lucy, travelling in her car with limited supplies and a straining budget of a little over $500 left for the trip. Stranded in Oregon when her car breaks down and lacking the funds to repair it, Wendy faces yet another challenge when she is apprehended for shoplifting and Lucy disappears while she is in police custody.
