In 2006, Subcommandante Marcos, along with a group of other Zapatistas and members of the alternative media travelled around Mexico visiting communities where people are living out daily, active struggles of resistance. Communities fighting for a better Mexico and an alternative world with dignity and justice for all. This tour created connections between the Zapatistas and the diverse social movements, (small-scale farmers, workers, environmentalists, and more), organising up and down the country. This film tells the stories of encounter, connection and growing unity and power.

We also have copies of the film on DVD for sale, write to correo@londonmexicosolidarity.org to buy DVDs.

We will be ‘passing the hat’ (collecting donations) at Pogo Cafe. Your contribution helps LMSG cover on-going expenses for community outreach events like this, our workshops and other grassroots networking and solidarity projects.

COINTELPRO 101 exposes illegal surveillance, disruption, and outright murder committed by the U.S. government in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. “COINTELPRO” refers to the official FBI COunter INTELligence PROgram carried out to surveil, imprison, and eliminate leaders of social justice movements and to disrupt, divide, and destroy the movements as well. Many of the government’s crimes are still unknown. Through interviews with activists who experienced these abuses first-hand and with rare historical footage, the film provides an educational introduction to a period of intense repression and draws relevant lessons for present and future movements.
